Last month, our Aid to Victims of Violence Prevention Educator, Logan and Development Assistant, Alyssa represented the YWCA at Mocktail Magic! ✨
💜 Inspired by the deep purple associated with Domestic Violence Awareness, they crafted a tasty mocktail and educated eventgoers on the harmful role that alcohol often plays in situations of gender-based violence.
Thanks to Cortland Prevention Resources: A Division of Family Counseling Services for putting on this wonderful event and promoting more opportunities for alcohol-free nights within our community!Aid for Victims of Violence (AVV) through YWCA Cortland staff Alyssa and Logan served a thoughtfully crafted mocktail made with lavender syrup muddled with blueberry, lemon, and basil, topped with lemon-flavored seltzer water.
Alongside their mocktail, AVV shared information about the connection between alcohol and gender-based violence - pairing beautiful flavor with meaningful conversation.
