The YWCA envisions a world where our children will experience great health and joy; that women, children, and men in abusive situations can find support, comfort and peace; that we all meet people with different points of view and can embrace our differences to become a united community. We have a vision that the YWCA of Cortland will not be seen as just a daycare or just a gym, but a multifaceted place to learn, connect, empower, and engage.

Our vision is demanding. When you open the newspaper or turn on the television, bad news abounds. Our community faces many challenges. But what makes the YWCA so special is the positive energy and spirit of its devoted members. It is our supporters, like YOU, that keep our vision alive. We may not single-handedly be able to change the world, but together, we can change lives right here locally in Cortland. Your annual gift allows us to serve over 3,000 families in the Cortland Community.

We ask that you consider a gift to our Annual Campaign, one that you are comfortable with and proud of. Those giving at the $1,000 level will become part of our 100 Women Giving Circle and will be invited to our annual recognition event in June. Founded in 2013 during our centennial year, the 100 Women Giving Circle is a group of intrepid women (and a few good men) who are devoted to securing a firm foundation for the vital programs and services the YWCA offers the Cortland Community. In addition to our participants, the 100 Women Giving Circle will honor a community member who has made an immense impact in the lives of others. This year, the 100 Women Giving Circle will be in honor of former Executive Director, Amy Simrell.

We hope you will become part of our 100 Women Giving Circle, but any gift to the YWCA of Cortland is gratefully received and helps to support the programs critical to our community. Please join us as we continue to make our vision a reality. Your gift touches many lives beyond measure and we are so thankful for your support!
