Are you a parent feeling overwhelmed and unsure about how to handle conflicts and stress within your family? Do you want to learn how to communicate with your children in a more empowering and compassionate way? If so, then mark your calendars for a FREE two-part workshop led by Jen Rafferty, founder of Empowered Educator®.

Educator, author, and mom of two, Jen Rafferty started as a middle school music teacher for 15 years in Central New York. She is known for bringing her energy, humor and expertise in her presentations while inspiring her audiences to stay connected to their “why.” Jen is a certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.

On April 21 and 28th, from 5:30-7:30 pm, YWCA Cortland will host the workshop series where Rafferty, will help parents like you develop the skills and confidence needed to navigate the challenges of parenthood.

You can attend both dates or just one if that’s all that fits into your schedule.

By the end of the two-part series, you’ll leave with a better understanding of how to:

  • Parent with more confidence, ease, and compassion
  • Increase your self-awareness skills
  • Receive concrete self-regulation strategies to navigate conflicts
  • Understand how stress affects your body
  • Use empowering language when talking to yourself and your children

We understand that juggling work, family, and other responsibilities can be difficult, so we will provide dinner from 5:30-6:00 pm and childcare services for children under 5 and and supervised activities for children 5-10, and 11 and up.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to improve your parenting skills and become a more confident and compassionate parent. Reserve your spot for free today!

While this workshop is free, donations in any amount are always welcome.
