This unique day of activities will be held on March 9, 2024, one day after International Women&#8217;s Day. This year, the theme of International Women&#8217;s Day is to #InspireInclusion, and we plan to do just that. We will engage and empower ALL girls in our community by equipping them with the tools to go out into the world as we see them: <strong>equal, powerful, and unstoppable.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The day&#8217;s events will include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">An interactive career fair with accomplished women from the Cortland community and surrounding areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A ukulele lesson to learn the basics and a few beginner songs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A collaborative and empowering art project with a local artist.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An engaging science project exploring our local environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">An end-of-day pool party!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lunch and a snack will be provided, along with a 2024 Girls Day Out bag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>When:\u00a0<\/b>March 9, 2024, from 10:00 am &#8211; 3:00 pm (Snow date: April 6, 2024)<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check-in: 9:30 am &#8211; 10:00 am<\/li>\n<li>Pick-up: between 2:05 pm and 3:00 pm during the end-of-day pool party.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Where: <\/strong>Tompkins Cortland Community College (Park in Lot #4)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Price &amp; Registration:<\/strong> Thanks to generous donations by our presenting sponsor, EDF Renewables (Homer Solar Energy Center), and other supporters, we can subsidize half the $20 registration cost for all who want to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The cost to attend is $10 per child. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>If cost is a barrier, we have scholarships available!<\/strong> Please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/D8Cz5A2QAB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Girls Day Out Scholarship Application Form<\/a> if you would like to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Registration by Friday, March 8, is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">strongly encouraged!<\/span> We cannot guarantee day-of registrations for this event,\u00a0 as a limited number of spots are available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Make sure to bring:<\/strong> a bathing suit, a towel, and a water bottle. <em>Please leave valuables at home.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Proceeds benefit YWCA Cortland&#8217;s Health &amp; Fitness Program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>2024 Interactive Career Fair Participants<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Access to Independence of Cortland County, INC.
