Thank you so much to Cortland County Community Of Color\u2014C4 for <\/span>organizing this donation drive of menstrual products and new, unused makeup for our Aid to Victims of Violence program. <\/span> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span>On April 5, SUNY Cortland representatives from C4 delivered 3 large boxes full of pads, tampons, and beauty products to Grace Brown House, our permanent supportive housing residence for survivors of domestic violence.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

C4 is a collaboration between Tompkins Cortland Community College and SUNY Cortland to support the educational and socioeconomic needs of higher education and other professionals of color in Cortland County. C4\u2019s mission is to retain, develop, and empower community members of color in Cortland County. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The cost of menstrual products can act as a barrier for those who menstruate and can lead to unsafe and prolonged use of those products, the creation of makeshift products, missing school or work, and even forgoing other necessities like food and medication. Drives like these aid in our mission to eliminate racism and empower women in our Cortland community.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
