This four-hour Red Cross course is designed primarily for youth ages 11+ and will prepare students to be confident, well-rounded babysitters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10863 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course-300x300.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/YWCA-Babysitting-Course.png 1080w\" alt=\"\" width=\"279\" height=\"279\" \/><\/a>Participants will learn:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to provide care for infants and children<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to stay safe<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What to do in an\u00a0emergency<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to choose age-appropriate activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to identify and handle a variety of children\u2019s behaviors<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The basics of starting a babysitting business<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Six interactive modules feature videos, activities, games, and a final exam to measure proficiency. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Cost:<\/strong> $65 per person (for the course + a babysitting \u201cto-go\u201d bag).
