{"id":4186,"date":"2020-06-28T17:25:45","date_gmt":"2020-06-28T21:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/?p=4186"},"modified":"2020-06-28T17:26:05","modified_gmt":"2020-06-28T21:26:05","slug":"ywca-cortland-closure-update-reopening-new-york-phase-4-june-26th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/index.php\/ywca-cortland-closure-update-reopening-new-york-phase-4-june-26th\/","title":{"rendered":"YWCA Cortland Closure Update: Reopening New York Phase 4 June 26th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YWCA Cortland Closure Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Health &amp; Fitness Program and Facility to Remain Closed to the Public Until Further Notice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Per Governor Cuomo&#8217;s New York Forward Plan, gyms are not allowed to reopen as part of Reopening New York&#8217;s Phase 4 on June 26<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As New York State continues to reopen per Governor Cuomo&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forward.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Forward Plan<\/a>, YWCA Cortland&#8217;s Leadership is closely following the guidelines as they become available.<\/p>\n<p>According to this plan,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forward.ny.gov\/regional-monitoring-dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Central New York region<\/a>, in which YWCA Cortland operates, has been deemed eligible to reopen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forward.ny.gov\/phase-four-industries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phase Four industries<\/a>\u00a0on June 26. These industries include higher education, low-risk outdoor arts &amp; entertainment, low-risk indoor arts &amp; entertainment, and media production.<\/p>\n<p>Gyms, including YWCA&#8217;s Health &amp; Fitness program, are not allowed to reopen at this time. According to Governor Cuomo, &#8220;We are continuing to study the impact of certain activities, including malls, movie theaters and gyms, to ensure we make informed decisions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Per these guidelines, and as an essential service,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortlandywca.org\/index.php\/ywca-facility-and-all-programs-to-close-to-public-at-6-pm-on-3-17-avv-services-to-continue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YWCA&#8217;s Aid to Victims of Violence (AVV) program will continue to operate as it has since the organization closed to the public on Tuesday, March 17<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Child Care program will continue to accept children of parents who work in industries that have been allowed to reopen.\u00a0YWCA is advising families that enrollment numbers have been decreased to meet new regulatory mandates, which limit\u00a0the number of children allowed in daycare and the school-age program.<\/p>\n<p>The facility and other programs, which include Health &amp; Fitness and Mentoring, will remain closed to the public until allowed to reopen by the State&#8217;s New York Forward plan. YWCA is dedicated to keeping the community informed.
