Become a Member
When you join YWCA Cortland, you get access to childcare services and discounted pricing on all our wellness offerings, and you help us continue serving our community and upholding our mission. Members who are women can vote in the annual Board of Directors election.
We have a variety of membership options to suit your individual needs—check out the details below and create your online profile to become a member! Feel free to call us with any questions at (607) 753-9651.
Annual join fees and monthly rates may apply depending on your selection.
Supportive
Choose this option if you want to register for specialty offerings as a member and receive lower rates but are not a parent/guardian enrolled in one of our childcare programs or don’t want to purchase a monthly Wellness Package. You can also choose this option if you don’t participate in any programming but still want to support YWCA Cortland with an annual membership.
Non-Member Guest
Choose this option to register for YWCA programs as a guest. You will not pay an annual join fee, but you will pay higher rates for programs, unless they are free.
Wellness
Choose one of the options below to sign up for a monthly wellness package—each package has options for adults and seniors. Learn more about our wellness packages.
Land
This gives you unlimited access to the weight room and all classes and programs on the Land schedule, including strength and cardio, gym and recreation, and programs that support wellness of mind, body, and spirit.
Land & Water Combo
This gives you unlimited access to the weight room and all classes and programs on the Land and Water schedules.
Water
This gives you unlimited access to all classes and programs on the Water schedule in our warm water therapy pool, including instructor-led exercise classes and time to swim freely with friends.
Childcare Parent
Choose this option when you want to register your child(ren) in one of our childcare services. The specific name for this membership will vary depending on when you register. For example, it will be labeled as School Age Parent in the summer when registration opens for before and after-school care during the school year and Summer Camp Parent in the spring when summer care registration goes live. All Here We Grow daycare parents will register for a membership offline.

Whether you’d like to give to the Annual Giving Campaign–which supports all our programs and provides us with the flexibility to respond to changing community needs–or give to one of the YWCA programs that provide vital services to those who live in our area, we want you to know your donation makes a difference.
To make a secure online donation, click on a link below. You can contribute monthly or make a tribute gift in honor or in memory of someone through any of these online donation forms.
You can also donate by mailing a check or bringing cash to our Clayton Ave. location. Please indicate in the check memo or let our front desk staff know which campaign your donation supports.

Annual Giving Campaign
Your donation supports our four core program areas (Aid to Victims of Violence, Childcare, Mentoring, and Wellness) and sustains YWCA Cortland's ability to provide services to those in our community who need them most.
Aid to Victims of Violence Program
Your gift supports our Aid to Victims of Violence Program, which provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and other crimes. Services include crisis intervention, referrals, advocacy, and more.
Childcare Program
Here We Grow Daycare
Your gift supports our Here We Grow Daycare, where bright, spacious rooms and large enclosed playgrounds provide cheerful environments that enhance growth and development in motor skills, socialization, creativity, and self-image.
School Age Care
Your gift supports school age care, which empower children by offering opportunities to gain knowledge and respect of self, family, culture, and community in an atmosphere that is developmentally appropriate, safe, stimulating, and nurturing.
Summer Care
Your gift supports summer care, which empowers children by offering opportunities to gain knowledge and respect of self, family, culture, and community in an atmosphere that is developmentally appropriate, safe, stimulating, and nurturing.
Mentoring Program
Your gift supports our Mentoring Program, which focuses on building confidence, resilience, positive relationships, and healthy habits for youth in our community. We work preventively to reduce the risk of serious problems arising later in life.
Wellness Program
Your gift sustains our Wellness Program, which provides classes and programming for all ages that support multiple aspects of health and well-being, including mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual health.
Bertini Pool Legacy Fund
Fulvio and Ann Bertini were driving forces behind creating Cortland's 1st competitive girls' swim team in 1962! To honor her parents, Catherine Bertini created this fund in 2024 to help sustain our pool for the generations of girls and women to come.

YWCA Cortland has been serving the changing needs of our community since 1914. With your dedicated support, together we’ll continue working to improve the lives of girls and women for generations to come.
Planned giving helps fuel our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. A gift in your will, or a legacy gift made now, will create a foundation for the future. Our work today is important, but it is equally, if not more important, to ensure that YWCA Cortland’s work can continue well into tomorrow and beyond.

We will recognize Legacy Society Members with an annual social event led by our Board of Trustees as well as listings in our communication platforms such as our website, annual report, monthly email newsletter, event programs, etc. You can join the Society and remain anonymous in these listings.

We recognize that our most valuable asset is the dedicated staff delivering vital programs and services to our clients, members, and community supporters. Employees receive several benefits and an annual cost-of-living salary increase based on performance.
50% discount on our childcare services (subject to availability). This includes a licensed daycare and school age and summer care programs.
Employees receive an annual membership that includes unlimited access to the weight room, one free class per day from the Land or Water schedule, and 50% off member pricing for specialty programs.
We embrace a family-friendly and flexible work environment.
We provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers personal and professional resources for you and all family members who reside in the same location.
Full-time employees only
Employees receive 32 hours of personal time per year and 3.69 hours per paycheck for sick leave and vacation. We also offer eight paid holidays per year.

We contribute to each employee’s selected health insurance plan.

Available to employees who have worked for the agency for two years. Earn 7% annually regardless of employee contributions.
