Thank you for joining us for the 2026 Until Justice Just Is (UJJI) Challenge, every weekday, April 6 through May 4! You can sign up anytime during the Challenge.

This year’s theme is Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250. By joining the Challenge, you will be a part of a national community learning, growing, and taking action. Together we can protect voting rights!

When you sign up for the Challenge, you’ll receive:

  • Daily emails with articles, podcasts, videos, and reflection prompts
  • Action steps to defend voting rights
  • Resources that help you understand the past, present, and future of American democracy

For 21 weekdays, April 6 – May 4, you’ll explore:

  • The history and future of voting rights
  • How voter suppression impacts communities
  • What’s happening right now in voting access
  • What each of us can do to strengthen democracy

Every piece of daily content helps build lifelong habits for advancing racial and civic justice. Think of it as cardio for your brain and an opportunity to exercise our civic muscles, too.

Until Justice Just Is (UJJI) is YWCA’s annual national campaign to deepen awareness, spark conversation, and inspire collective action around the most pressing issues facing our communities. This year’s theme — Democracy in Progress: Voting Rights at 250 — challenges us to:

  • Reflect honestly on the progress made in expanding access to the ballot
  • Recognize the inequities and systemic barriers that still persist
  • Take meaningful steps to protect the fundamental right to vote

 

 

MLK Day Soup & Bread Luncheon and Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation

Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day for a nourishing Soup & Bread Luncheon and an eye-opening Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation experience. Through guided activities and conversation, participants will explore how historical and present-day policies shape financial outcomes across communities. Together, we’ll reflect on Dr. King’s call for justice, deepen our understanding of economic inequality, and share a meal while building empathy and awareness.

About the Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation:

The simulation is an interactive tool that shows how racial inequity is deeply connected to hunger, poverty, and wealth in the United States. It helps individuals, from beginners to experts, understand how historical and ongoing federal policies have created structural inequalities, particularly in areas like property ownership and education. These inequalities have led to hunger and poverty in communities of color. By illustrating the real economic impacts of these policies, the simulation highlights why racial equity is essential to ending hunger and poverty and encourages participants to support policies that reduce racial disparities.
