The 24th Annual Girls Day Out event is hosted by Tompkins Cortland Community College and in collaboration with TST Boces PTECH Academy.
Proceeds benefit YWCA Cortland’s Wellness Program.

This unique day of activities for girls ages 10-14 will be held on March 7, 2026, a day before International Women’s Day, which is a day focused on forging women’s equality and celebrating women’s achievements. We will engage and empower ALL girls in our community by equipping them with the tools to go out into the world as we see them: equal, powerful, and unstoppable. The day’s events will include the following:

  • An interactive career fair with accomplished women from the Cortland community and surrounding areas (see below for the list of Career Fair participants)
  • Hands-on STEAM-based activities with technology to explore science and create art
  • A dance fitness activity to get moving
  • An intro to ukelele lesson
  • Time to swim and have fun with friends
  • Lunch and a snack will be provided, along with a 2026 Girls Day Out giveaway item

When: March 7, 2026 from 9:30 – 3:00 pm
Where: Tompkins Cortland Community College Main Campus, Dryden, NY
Make sure to bring a bathing suit, a towel, and water. Please leave valuables at home.

Price: FREE for first 20 girls to register thanks to a generous donation by Kings Daughters! After the 20 free spots have been filled, the registration fee will be $25. If cost is a barrier, we have scholarships available and would like to accommodate as many people as possible! Please complete the Girls Day Out Scholarship Application Form if you would like to apply.

Donate: Help make the event free for all girls who wish to attend! You can donate online or drop a check or cash off at the front desk, and mention your gift is to support the 2026 Girls Day Out.
Early registration is strongly encouraged! We cannot guarantee day-of registrations for this event, as a limited number of spots are available.
