6/4 Social Seniors on Fall Prevention
*Original publication date: May 1, 2025.*
Join us for Social Seniors on Wednesday, June 4, to learn about A Matter of Balance, the highly effective fall prevention program implemented nationwide. If you’re concerned about falling, have experienced a fall, or are restricting activities this program is for you!
The Cortland Office of Aging will give you a glimpse into their full program by sharing changes you can make to reduce the chance of falls at home, proper exercises to increase strength and balance, and how to manage your concerns about falling.
Lunch will be served at noon, followed by the presentation at 12:30 p.m. Afterward, socialize with other attendees through cards, games, and conversation. Social Seniors meet every Wednesday from 12 to 2 p.m., making it an ideal opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
This program is FREE for YWCA Cortland Members. Not-yet members pay $3 to register.
Space is very limited, and registration opens 5/1. To reserve your spot, stop by YWCA Cortland or call us at (607) 753-9651.
PLEASE NOTE: Social Seniors will continue to meet for cards and socializing but our monthly luncheon programs will take a short hiatus during the summer and return in September.
