Go Purple Day (Domestic Violence Awareness Day) is when people wear purple to spark conversations and raise awareness about domestic violence.
Share photos of you wearing purple on Facebook and tag both @YWCAAVV and @CortlandYWCA to receive one free raffle ticket for the AVV raffle basket fundraiser going on through the end of the month. You can check out all of the baskets in this link. This only applies to baskets 1-18. Email Jessica after you have posted and tagged our Facebook pages to coordinate getting your ticket.
Week Without Violence

Online fundraising campaign to be held in place of Chefs Take a Stand.
In place of the Chefs Take a Stand event, we’ll hold an online crowdfunding campaign during YWCA USA’s Week Without Violence, October 18 – 24, to raise funds to support the Aid to Victims of Violence program. Last year the Chefs Take a Stand event raised nearly $10K, and we’d love to top that this year.
