Beginner Pickleball Workshop 3/21-4/11
Looking for a great form of exercise that’s not too strenuous but a lot of fun? Try Pickleball!
Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, ping pong, and tennis. It is for all levels and allows you to work on balance, agility, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination while enjoying some friendly competition!
YWCA Cortland will run a four-week workshop for beginners ages 18+ with instructor Pam Kavalesky, a pickleball enthusiast with over nine years of experience. The workshop will teach students the playing area, equipment, and skills, along with general rules such as serving and sequence, scoring, faults, etc.
Meets: Thursday, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm (one hour of instruction and one hour of play)
Session Dates: March 21 – April 11
Registration: Through Monday, March 18
Pricing: Members: $50 / Non-Members: $60
After the session ends, come for Open Pickleball for beginners every Thursday from 4:30- 6:30. A limited number of paddles will be available. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn pickleball!
