Beginner Pickleball Workshop Feb 28-Mar 21
Looking for a great form of exercise that is not strenuous but is a lot of fun?
Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, ping pong, and tennis. It is for all levels and allows you to work on balance, agility, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination all while enjoying some friendly competition!
YWCA Cortland will be running a four-week workshop for beginners with instructor Pam Kavalesky, a pickleball enthusiast with over nine years of experience. The workshop will provide students with knowledge of the playing area, equipment, and skills, along with general rules such as serving and sequence, scoring, faults, etc.
Meets: Monday, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm (one hour of instruction and one hour of play)
Session: February 28 to March 21.
After the session ends, the time slot will be a designated open pickleball time for beginners. A limited number of paddles will be available. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn pickleball!
