Child Tests Positive at Homer Intermediate After School Program
Today, October 13, we learned that a child in one of our After School Program classrooms at Homer Intermediate has tested positive for COVID-19. YWCA staff that work in that classroom will be quarantining according to recommendations from the Cortland County Health Department. If the Health Department determines anyone else was exposed, they will be contacting them directly.
Since starting to reopen our programs, we have been following all safety guidelines issued by New York State and the County Health Department including wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing and good hand hygiene, and we will continue to do so. We take the health and safety of our members, staff, and the public seriously and remain committed to providing programming in a safe manner. We will post updates on our website and Facebook page when we have something new to report.
