2024 Annual Giving Campaign

 

Can we count on your support this year with a gift to the Annual Giving Campaign?

You may have heard the recent news about YWCA Cortland winning a prize through the Cortland Community Foundation’s Philanthropy Day contest for raising the highest dollar amount.

We are truly blessed that so many community members supported the YWCA through this contest.

One might think our organization doesn’t need any more support this year. That’s simply not true.

We want to share with you that we still need to raise $15,000 to keep programs running through the rest of the year.

Your support of the Annual Giving Campaign in December will allow us to continue to provide services to those in our community who need it most, including:

• Clients needing comprehensive support services offered free of charge by the Aid to Victims of Violence Program, which empowers survivors to live lives free of abuse.
• Children accessing the free Mentoring Program services­—Bridges for Kids or GEMS (Girls: Empowered, Motivated, Successful)—that build self-confidence and resiliency skills that make it possible for them to make smart life choices and become well-adjusted adults.
• Parents whose kids are enrolled in our early learning child care center or before- and after-school services so they can go to work secure with the knowledge their children are being cared for in an atmosphere that is safe, stimulating, and nurturing.
• Seniors on fixed incomes who exercise in our warm water pool to stay active, mobile, healthy, and socially engaged.
