School-Age Before & After School Program Counselors Job Description (see full description)

Programs are located at local elementary schools around the county. Hours depend on the site (typically before school, 6:45 am to 8:00/8:30 am, and then after school, 2:45/3:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

Responsibilities: Supervising children in the before and after school programs, maintaining a safe recreational environment, implementing activities, and completing required paperwork in an NYS OCFS licensed program.

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in recreation or related field or minimum CDA or nine credits in recreation or education or High School diploma with two years experience working with children. Previous experience working with children and CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
