Prepare your child to be a star babysitter! This four-hour Red Cross course is designed primarily for youth ages 11+ and will prepare students to be confident, well-rounded babysitters.

When: November 2, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Participants will learn:

  • How to provide care for infants and children
  • How to stay safe
  • What to do in an emergency
  • How to choose age-appropriate activities
  • How to identify and handle a variety of children’s behaviors
  • The basics of starting a babysitting business

Six interactive modules feature videos, activities, games, and a final exam to measure proficiency. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate.

Cost: $65 per person (for the course, lunch, and a babysitting “to-go” bag). Financial assistance is available if needed; please get in touch with Mindy Gardner at the email address below or call the YWCA.
