Take the Pledge to Stand Against Racism
Monday, May 15, was the last day of the YWCA Racial Justice Challenge, and we couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Through disability justice and mental health, housing and music, we have explored and learned so much about some of the critical issues that influence and intersect with racial justice work.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for tackling the Racial Justice Challenge as part of YWCA USA’s overall Stand Against Racism: Until Justice Just Is Campaign. It might not have been easy at times: learning some tough history lessons and working on ourselves in intense ways is never easy.
Still, we hope that the Racial Justice Challenge was a meaningful and enriching program for you—it certainly was for us!
We’ll be keeping the Racial Justice Challenge open for the rest of the year, so if you didn’t get a chance to finish it, you still can at your own pace. If those in your network or community didn’t have the time this month, they can still sign up and participate too! Here’s how:
- Click HERE to be taken to the YWCA Cortland Racial Justice Challenge Mighty Networks homepage, and create your account today!
- Navigate to the “Feed” icon at the top of the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
- Select the link for “Welcome — Start Here” at the top row of your screen.

Thanks again friends for making this year’s Racial Justice Challenge extraordinary.
YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. I am joining the movement for racial justice with YWCA Cortland, YWCA USA, and hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Join us and YWCA in advancing justice — until justice just is. Take the pledge now!
Social equity work is consistently underfunded and YWCA Cortland needs your help to provide high-quality programming like the 21-day Racial Justice Challenge. Make a $21 investment in your anti-racist development and challenge yourself to encourage 21 other people to take the challenge and match your $21 investment!
