Week of the Young Child April 6-12
*Original Publication date: April 8, 2024*
YWCA Cortland and the staff at our Here We Grow Child Care Center celebrate the week of the young child!
The Week of the Young Child® is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest early childhood education association. This week is a time to work together —as citizens of a community, of a state, and of a nation—to better meet the needs of all young children and their families.
Check out the YWCA Cortland Facebook and Instagram the week of April 6-12 as we highlight the enriching early childhood learning happening right at our Here We Grow Child Care Center.
It is more apparent than ever before “the importance of children’s earliest years in shaping their learning and development. Yet, never before have the needs of young children and their families been more pressing.”
