YWCA Phased Reopen to Begin September 8
Co-ed weight room open by reservation; outdoor fitness classes continue
YWCA Cortland will begin a phased reopening on Tuesday, September 8, that follows guidelines from Governor Cuomo’s New York Forward Plan.
On the 8th, the Co-ed Weight Room will be the first to open in the Health & Fitness Program. It will be open on weekdays 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Space will be limited to ensure compliance with New York State’s extensive guidelines for gyms and fitness centers. Please call 607-753-9651 to reserve your workout time.
YWCA will continue to offer the following two outdoor classes in the parking lot at 14 Clayton Ave.
Mon & Wed, 9-10 a.m., Boomer Nation
Tue & Thu, 9-10 a.m., Cardio Pump Conditioning
The classes are free for YWCA Cortland members, but donations are appreciated. We are limiting space to 20 participants to maintain social distancing. To reserve your spot, please call the YWCA at 607-753-9651. We will require a minimum of 3 students per class. All reservations must be made by 8:00 a.m. on the day of class. All classes are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.
Please bring a mat, weights, water, and face covering. We will have a limited amount of equipment available for your use. While you are allowed to exercise without a face covering, participants will be required to wear a mask if social distancing cannot be maintained while walking to and from the workout space.
Watch for more reopening information next week. We look forward to welcoming you back!
