New Wellness Class Space Open Now!

When we had to put the 2nd floor women’s weight room out of order due to winter weather roof damage, we took the time to conduct a strategic and thorough review of our options.

The good news is that our Health & Fitness Program is experiencing growth, particularly with our more wellness-oriented classes like yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation.

While this growth is a nice problem to have, it is causing some space constraints and scheduling challenges, and we are seeing the need for a dedicated area in the building to accommodate those classes that require a quiet and private setting.

Because of this, we have decided to close the women’s weight room and reimagine the space to host the growing demand for our group wellness classes.

We hope you will understand our decision is based on improving our offerings for our members.

While we are diligently working on securing funding to repair the roof so as not to cause significant impacts to our budget, we don’t yet have a timeline for those repairs to happen.

However, we did move forward with selling the equipment from this weight room and are happy to announce most of it found a good home with the Cortland City Fire Department.

We understand that your health and fitness is important to you, and it is important to us too.

So, if you used the women’s weight room, we encourage you to try out our weight room on the first floor as well as our group wellness classes to see what they can offer for your overall health, fitness, and well-being.

We look forward to hosting you in our new wellness class space for yoga with Brenna on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
