YWCA Cortland Advocates for More Support with Growing Childcare Crisis
On Friday, February 17, The Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce held a legislative breakfast to allow businesses and other community members to meet with state and local officials to discuss various topics that affect the Cortland community.
Before a panel discussion and Q&A where each elected official was given time to address the membership, time was allotted for one-on-one visits with the representatives, including NY State Senator Lea Webb, NY State Assemblymember Anna Kelles, NY State Assemblymember Jeff Gallahan, Chair of the Cortland County Legislature, Kevin Fitch, and the City of Cortland Mayor, Scott Steve.
YWCA Cortland was represented at this breakfast by Child Care Director Jami Bistocchi and Executive Director Kelly Tobin to advocate for more support as the ever-growing childcare crisis continues to impact our community and the entire country.
